PLATTCO LLC is owned and operated by Timothy Platt. Throughout the years Tim has not only worked in the trades, but also as a commercial construction manager, a police officer and a fire marshal. Tim concluded his career as a municipal employee performing inspections for 10 years, the last 5 years of which he was the Building Official.

Additionally, Tim was a volunteer firefighter for 16 years and achieved the rank of Captain. He was also certified as a first responder and emergency medical technician.

The Supreme Court has recognized Tim as a knowledgeable and impartial individual.

As a Building Official, Tim oversaw the building department, the office of the fire marshal and code enforcement. Tim was tested and certified by the International Code Council in the following disciplines: Residential Building Inspector (multiple  code years), Residential Plumbing Inspector, Residential Mechanical Inspector, Residential Electrical Inspector and Residential Energy Inspector.

Furthermore, Tim was proficient in applying several NFPA standards, including: NFPA 17A (wet chemical extinguishing systems), NFPA 72 (fire alarm and signaling systems), NFPA 13 (commercial fire sprinkler systems) and NFPA 13D (residential fire sprinkler systems).

Tim was a NFIP/FEMA flood plain administrator responsible for reviewing construction for compliance with the adopted flood plain regulations.

Tim also acted as liaison to the zoning appeals board, architectural review board, wetlands committee and planning board. Consequently, Tim is proficient in reading, understanding and applying local building regulations.

Tim attributes his success to a working knowledge of the building trades. Tim has placed concrete, pulled wire, installed pipe and painted walls. Having learned each of the trades by working in the field, he is uniquely qualified to bring a combination of strong code knowledge and practical experience to your project.
